Job Description:

We are seeking a Multimedia Designer to support our Biomedical Visualization team. As a Multimedia Designer at One World DMG, you will work both in the digital and physical space, using your diverse skillset in digital design, animation, and audio/visual effects to contribute to the broad scope of education and visual offerings. You will create visual content that supports original artwork and copy from our other teams in a multichannel approach from printed resources with special die cuts, overlays, folds, and finishes, to mobile apps, websites, video and film, augmented and virtual reality. We are looking for candidates with a strong eye for visual composition, who are excited about working in a highly collaborate environment, who plan concepts well by studying the relevant information and materials, have effective time management skills, and meet deadlines. You should also have a strong understanding of marketing, production, web design, corporate identity, and product packaging. Ideally, you should have a background in designing in the health sciences and/or pharmaceutical spaces, and be highly interested in science and medicine.

Responsibilities may include the following:

  • Develop multimedia content ideas in collaboration with medical illustrators, visual producers, industrial designers, and key stakeholders
  • Conduct research on media techniques and design ideas
  • Design and produce high quality multimedia content according to specs across all forms of digital and print, including videos, illustrations, animations, websites, photographs, social media posts, and other forms of communication
  • Create original logos, icons, graphics, as well as closely adhere to and uphold client’s brand identity and guidelines
  • Coordinate with outside agencies, art services, printers and vendors
  • Prepare artwork and media for final approval and distribution, including compressing and exporting digital media while maintaining quality, and prepping print pieces for press

 

Requirements:

  • Must have a Design background with a strong eye for visual composition
  • Agency and pharmaceutical experience a plus
  • Background in medical or scientific illustration  a plus
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Affects, Premiere
  • Must have excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work in a highly collaborative team environment with designers from other disciplines including graphic design, industrial design, and engineering
  • Must be able to understand important design and print production concepts, such as die-lines, color profiles, file formats, proofing, mock-ups and prototyping
  • Must be a positive, team player, open to giving and receiving feedback and constructive criticism
  • Must be a critical thinker who exhibits problem solving ability
  • Must be proactive and decisive
