MediVisuals + High Impact®, the nation’s largest and most experienced medical demonstrative evidence provider, is looking for a Medical Illustrator to join our successful and fast-growing team.  MediVisuals + High Impact® consults on approximately 1400 medically related cases each year and has more than 36 years of experience working with many of the nation’s leading attorneys, M.D.s, Ph.D.s and trial consultants. 

The Medical Illustrator is responsible for creating professional and effective exhibits that are primarily used to demonstrate issues and events involved in litigation. The ideal candidate is someone who has the desire to work with a team to create high quality products.  Ability to meet deadlines on time is a must. Some animation experience is desired.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Produce accurate and effective illustrations in a variety of subject matters.
  • Work with others to obtain input and references to develop and deliver projects.
  • Manage and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Follow directions and accept critique.
  • Stay current with new illustration techniques.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree in medical Illustration from an accredited program is desired.
  • 2 or more years of experience in medical illustration / animation is preferred.
  • Strong drawing and rendering skills with experience illustrating personal injury and medical malpractice cases is preferred.
  • 2-D animation experience is preferred.
  • Advanced experience in Adobe Suite.
  • Basic knowledge or willingness to learn XML. 
  • General knowledge or willingness to learn Maya, ZBrush, and others.
  • Ability to collaborate with others.
  • Ability to conceptualize complex medical processes.
  • Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
  • Flexibility to work in the Richmond office for ~1 year to expedite training.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
